Swim, Swim, Swim in the Water

We decided to sign Mia up for a swim class this fall. It wasn't so much a swim class as just something to start to get them used to the water. Roy and I love being around the water so we wanted Mia to feel the same. She loved it. She enjoyed being in the water and always had fun being around the other kids. It was a success. We for sure plan to put her in another class in the spring.

At the start of each class they would sit in a circle, sometimes play with these cups or just splash around . . .
They sang a lot of songs that involved bouncing the kids in and out of the water . . .
Learning to blow bubbles which then leads to putting your face in the water . . .
Being silly with Dad . . .
They would give Roy these toys that he could throw out in front of them and then Mia would "swim" to get them . . .
