We had a really fun Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday we visited Jenny and Alex. This picture came out a little dark but I thought it was cute that Alex was being goofy and Mia wasn't really sure what was going on.

On Sunday we had the family over for a BBQ . . .

Sweet Potatoes

I decided that I am going to try to make most of Mia's baby food. I love to cook and want her to get used to the flavors of our food. Roy and I made a batch of sweet potatoes on Saturday and Mia tried them Sunday. She was a little unsure at first but I think she is getting more used to them. I am working a different schedule this week due to the holiday so I plan to make up something different Friday. I am thinking we will try either bananas or avocado . . .

6 month photos

We went to JCPenny to have Mia's 6 month photos taken. I loved our photographer this time. She took a ton of great pictures, these were my three favorites . . .

Bath Time

We finally decided it was time to take Mia out of the sling in her bath tub. It was probably way over due but it was one of those things we got used to and she was always content chillin' out in there. I took some pics the first day we had put her straight in the tub. Roy had me pull up an old pic and I couldn't believe how big she had gotten. This first pic was taken about 5 months ago.

Mia's First Vacation

Our good friends Cary, Steve, and Lia are temporarily living in Chicago. We wanted to visit them and figured it would be a good opportunity to take Mia on her first vacation. I set my expectations low but Mia ended up doing really great while we were there.

We had lots of fun hanging out . . . we shopped, did some walking, ate lots of good food, and had great company. It was a great first vacation for Mia!

We also got to finally meet Baby Lia. She is so sweet. Makes me realize how much Mia has grown in the past few months.

Mia's Baptism

Mia was Baptized today at Our Savior Polish Church (the church Roy and I got married at 6.5 years ago). Cara is her Godmother and Jeremy is her Godfather. We had a party at our house after the service. Mia was a little tired so she got kind of crabby during the ceremony. She DID NOT like it when Father poured the water over her head ;)
