Return of Einstein

This Einstein toy was one of the very first toys Mia every played with it. When she was about a month old we pulled it out and put her underneath it. Back then she just stared at the lights. As the months went on she started to bat at the toys. As you can imagine now she is climbing on it. She likes to pop the ball into the hole and make everything play music.

9 month pics

We debated on whether to get 9 month pics taken of Mia. We figured since the sitting fees were free and we had good photo coupons we mine as well take her and see how they turned out. Of course they turned out cute and we had to get a few :)

Trip Up North

Roy, Mia, and I along with our friends Steve, Cary, and Lia spent a long weekend up at my cousin's cottage in Lupton, MI. It was hot by up north standards but we had a great time.

I love this picture of Mia and I, even though all you can see of me is my nose :)

Lia and Mia . . . it only took about a hundred pictures to get one of them both looking at the camera!

Sitting Up

One day we walked into Mia's room and she was sitting up in her crib. We had never lowered her crib, we never needed to. It was not long after that it went down to the next level. It took her a bit to figure out how to get herself back down to a lying position which made for some rough nap and bed times.

Luke's B-day party

Our friends Kelly and Tim did a Superhero theme for their son Luke's 4th birthday party. Roy found Superhero t-shirts for both him and Mia to wear. Mia's was technically a boy shirt so I told him she had to wear jean skirt with it :)

New Camera

I love taking pictures. Before Mia I loved taking vacation photos. The last time we got a new camera was a few months before we took our 2 week road trip out West, hard to believe that was over 3 years ago already. After we had Mia I grew irritated with our camera. I have always tossed around the idea of getting an SLR and decided it was time. I took the below photos the day I pulled it out of the box. I have a lot of learning to do but the camera takes great photos. I am hoping to take a class at Schoolcraft once winter sets in.

Mia is often more amused with the screws on the bottom of her toys than she is by the toys themselves . . . maybe she will be an engineer one day or will construct things . . . who knows!
